What Outpatient Mental Health Treatment Looks Like
Intensive outpatient care sits between weekly therapy and inpatient treatment. Most clients attend nine or more hours a week for up to 12 weeks. Treatment combines:
- Group therapy led by licensed clinicians
- Individual sessions with your counselor every other week
- Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills
- Family involvement when it helps
In-Person and Telehealth Options
- Mental health IOP groups: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons in Maitland
- Hybrid groups for mental health and substance use: Monday–Thursday mornings
- Telehealth groups: Friday and Saturday, for Florida residents

Is Outpatient Mental Health Treatment Right for You?
IOP may be a good fit if weekly therapy has not been enough, if symptoms are affecting work, school or relationships, or if you are stepping down after a hospital stay. You should be safe to live at home and able to attend sessions several days a week. Our admissions team will help you decide on the right level of care and, if you need more support than IOP, help you find it.
If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 or call 911. IOP is not an emergency service.
Insurance and Getting Started
Many health plans cover mental health IOP, but coverage depends on your plan. We will check your benefits for free. Visit our insurance page, start admissions or call (407) 968-7717.
